MINE.IO presented at the GIG Seminar in Katowice, Poland
On November 13, 2024, the seminar organized by the GIG – Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute for the Quality Assessment of Solid Fuels took place in Katowice. The event brought together experts and industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition and circular economy.
🔸 The seminar’s main topic was:
“Quality analysis of solid fuels in the light of the energy transition and the objectives of a circular economy (coal, solid biofuels, solid secondary fuels)”.
One of the elements of the event was the presentation by Łukasz Grotkowski from Łukasiewicz Research Network – Tele and Radio Research Institute (Łukasiewicz – ITR). During his lecture, titled “Łukasiewicz – ITR in the era of decarbonization”, he showcased the MINE.IO project as an example of innovative research supporting sustainable mining and the implementation of digital technologies in the mining industry.
We are proud to have shared our achievements within the MINE.IO project, which aims to develop a digital, holistic ecosystem of mines, tailored to address the challenges of contemporary transitions.
